Meet Genna
Genna is the operations manager and previous master stylist with 19 years behind the chair. She has been a RedBloomer for 10 years and we’ve been lucky to see her growth into a leading position.
Recently we did a special interview with Genna about her experience working at RedBloom for a recruitment video. Here are a few highlights from the interview that we wanted to share…
What do you love most about your job?
The thing I love most about my job is supporting our team and providing opportunities for people who want to thrive in this industry. I love seeing our employees working hard to reach their goals and when those goals are achieved, it is the most exciting thing! I think we are seeing a lot of change happen in the hair industry and that lights me up because it means we get to create new opportunities for our existing and future staff.
What makes you stay at RedBloom?
I stay at RedBloom because of the company vision. Working here has made me a better stylist and a better human being. I don’t know if I ever would have explored the opportunity in leadership and management had I not been here. The owners and management team saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself. I have never been happier in my career than I am now. I found my passion here.
How do you see your future at RedBloom?
My favourite part of working at RedBloom is getting to mentor our graduate stylists and teach in our Student Stylist Program. I learned so much from other stylists when I started out so it's cool to get to be that for someone else. It's pretty damn rewarding when you get to see a stylist thriving in their careers and know that you helped support them on their journey!
What has working at RedBloom done for you?
I see my future here continuing to grow through supporting and challenging our team members to be their best. I also see myself continuing to support and challenge our company to be the best it can be for our employees and our clients. When everyone around us is thriving, we are thriving!
