Why she loves being a hairstylist: “I feel really lucky to have a career that allows me to have a personal connection with people. I absolutely love hanging out with my guests, exchanging stories, and of course making them feel confident and beautiful. Every person is different and every head of hair is completely different. I love what I do because I have a ton of variety and I have the ability to play and be creative at work. Every day is totally new and exciting”
Why she loves being a hairstylist:“I can't choose one thing. I love people and find them fascinating! I love having the opportunity to boost their confidence, brighten their day and make them feel heard/seen/noticed/valuable in a world where we are lacking human connection more than ever. I love that it helps make me a more well-rounded person. I love the opportunity to teach/mentor so I can give a new stylist a positive experience as they're starting out instead of them feeling discouraged. I love that 9 years in, there are still opportunities to grow and learn new things daily, from anyone. Sometimes, I get to learn new hair techniques, and others, I learn the most random and valuable lessons about life.”

When a client is happy I truly am so happy. It's a great feeling. Meeting and interacting with all sorts of people/personalities is a fun part of what I do as well, the fact that every work day is different is huge for me as doing the same thing over each day would start to bore me after a while.
